Relocation Timeline Updates & 11/14 Resident Meeting

With City Council approval received on October 30th, the Heart of Uptown Apartments rehabilitation is moving forward, and we’re excited to share updates on our relocation timeline! We now have a clearer idea of our plan to relocate residents during the construction process, and we’ll be discussing these details at our upcoming resident meeting on Thursday, November 14th. Look out for additional details soon!

As of now, we expect relocation for Wilson residents to begin in early January 2025. Residents at 927 West Wilson Avenue should soon receive their 30-day notice for temporary relocation. Please note that residents at Clifton, Windsor, Sunnyside, and Kenmore buildings will be relocated later in 2025. We encourage you to attend the upcoming resident meeting for more information—there will be both afternoon and evening sessions available to accommodate your schedule, and food will be provided. We hope to see you there!

In the meantime, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your patience throughout this process. We appreciate your cooperation in allowing our team to visit your units, helping us ensure a smooth construction process. We recognize the challenges this relocation may bring, and with one-on-one interviews completed with each household, we feel prepared to address your needs and make this transition as seamless as possible. Our goal is to welcome you back to a refreshed home with minimal disruption.
